Fitness


CC of Leawood offers a full-service Fitness Center with class times designed around members' busy schedules.  Personal Trainers are always on site to help with questions about our state-of-the-art equipment, nutrition and general fitness.

All members are welcome to enjoy the amenities offered in the Locker Rooms including: day lockers; fully-supplied showers; steam room, and sauna.



   

CARDIO
Cycle: Non-stop indoor ride; set to motivating tunest o keep you in the zone as you cruise and climb and sprint. (All levels)
CSI: (Cardio Strength Intervals) A dynamic mix of cardiovascular movement paired with strength training to provide a total body workout! (All levels)
Aqua Fitness: Get fit, have fun and stay cool this summer! Aqua Fitness will help improve muscle tone, strength and cardiovascular fitness. You will benefit with an increased range of motion. Excellent for teh seasoned athlete and also beneficial for pre/post surgery or injury recovery. This class offers a low impact workout with high intensity moves! Aqua noodle required. (All levels)

MIND/ BODY
  • Mixed Yoga: A relaxing-yet-challenging class designed to improve posture, flexibility, and muscular strength; providing various options for every body. (All levels)
  • Restoration Movements: Restoration Movement is a mind-body practice that utilizes breathing, basic core control, active mobility, and passive “yin-like” holds. This method goes beyond “stretching” as it works to keep your joints healthy, create stability and improve movement capacity. This class will leave you feeling refreshed whether you are coming for active recovery between workouts or are looking to increase physical longevity and resilience.
  • Pilates Fusion: A mix of mat Pilates, body weight exercises, yoga postures and “old school” calisthentics. A total body workout that keeps you moving and learning.  Improves core strength, posture and balance.
  • Beginner Yoga: This class is designed as an introduction to the practice of yoga. Class is slower paced than our Mixed Yoga, and focused on developing clear and safe alignment in foundational poses. Come to learn, play, and maybe even break a sweat in a supportive environment. You don’t need to be able to touch your toes; you just have to be willing to try!
STRENGTH
  • Strong(er): A total body approach to strength training. Build lean tissue, increase metabolism and improve posture.
 
*SPECIALTY CLASSES (register directly with instructor)
  • CIRCUIT TRAINING:  In this 50 minute Small Group Training session you can plan to burn up to 500+ calories! You will add lean muscle mass, strengthen your entire body, make huge fitness gains and become familiar with free weights, TRX suspension training and equipment.  Trainer, Linda Gordon, specializes in Cross Training and is continually adding new combinations of both strength and cardiovascular exercises.  Expect to be challenged, educated and encouraged start to sweaty finish! ($5/session)
  • Mobility For Golfers: Do you wish to play golf without pain and add yards to your drive? Mobility for Golfers is designed to help you move more efficiently and develop the prerequisites you need for your best game. The Mobility for Golfers program will help you establish a daily mobility routine, while giving you insight on existing limitations, so that you begin to expand and control your ranges.These methods will be combined with balance, breath and concentration to tie it all together. Building resilient, mobile, strong joints leads to body control, injury mitigation, strength, power and accuracy. Adaptation takes consistency, and the time is now! Whether you are a young “hotshot” or senior golfer desiring to increase your CAPACITY for great golf, Mobility for Golfers is for you.
